DESCRIPTIONS
Mermaid Island is a tiny island located between Pelican Town and the Fern Islands. You can get there after unlocking Willy’s boat (the one used to get to Ginger Island); a ticket to Mermaid Island costs 200g.
Willy’s boat can now take you there. The tutorial can be found here, but beware of spoilers:
You will meet the Madam, who owns a bait shop on the island. There is also a refreshment stand on the island, which is home to the lovely Ice Fox.
Tropical fish can be found in this location, and it even has its own Epic Fish (install more new fish mod for that). Furthermore, the Island contains new forgeable items such as fruit and starfish.
Summer Market – This market features shops selling new trees, crafts, and recipes, and it is held every summer on the 15th and 16th.

Madam events spoiler:
First time entering the Bait Shop – there will be an introduction cutscene.
- Enter the Bait Shop carrying a Mermaid Pendant and she will explain the lore of the item.
4H – Enter the Bait Shop after reaching 4 hearts with Madam, this will trigger Linus Cutscene.
8H – Enter the Island in a sunny Saturday after having 8 Hearts with Madam, this will trigger a cutscene with her and Willy.
10H – Enter the Island in a stormy summer day after reaching 10 hearts with Madam and you will find out why she walks funny. ONLY summer story days. - She should appear at the winter star festival and occasionally on mainland. no heart event, just some dialogue.
